1. Professional Profile
In 2000, the major began to recruit students nationwide with the professional direction of mechanical design and manufacturing automation, and has trained more than 500 graduates in the direction of mechanical and electronic engineering. In 2012, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the major of mechanical and electronic engineering began to recruit students. During the construction of the key construction disciplines of Mechanical Engineering and the key construction majors of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Automation in Jiangsu Province, the major of mechanical and electronic engineering has been well constructed and developed. Especially in the four-year teaching practice of enrollment, the school running results have been fully affirmed by the society. In May 2016, it has been fully affirmed by the society, it passed the evaluation of the right to grant bachelor's degree organized by the Jiangsu Education Department with excellent results. At present, there are four grades and five classes in this major, and the total number of students is nearly 200.
1.1 Professional training objectives
The major of mechanical and electronic engineering majors is trained to meet the needs of socialist modernization, develop morality, intelligence, physique, and aesthetics in an all-round way, with basic knowledge in mechanics, electronics, control, information, and computer applications, and master the basic knowledge, application methods and basic skills of mechatronics product design, manufacturing automation and other aspects. Obtain comprehensive training in mechanical and electronic design, manufacturing and automation. After graduation, they can be engaged in the design and manufacture of mechanical and electrical products, technology application and equipment transformation, operation management and sales in the production line of the manufacturing industry.

Have the basic knowledge and professional skills of mechanical and electronic engineering, and can be engaged in the design and manufacturing, control development, application research and production management of mechanical and electronic engineering products in the production line. 2. Have solid basic theoretical knowledge of mathematics, physics, mechanics, electronics and computers, understand the technical content and development trend of specialty and disciplines, and have a certain spirit of exploration and innovation.
3. Master the basic technical knowledge of machinery, electronics, measurement and control, computer application and automation.
4. Master the professional knowledge of modern mechanical and electronic products and system design, manufacturing and production technology management.
5. Have the ability of technical and economic evaluation and project management.
6. Be able to retrieve, read and translate the professional English materials proficiently, have strong oral communication skills and have certain scientific and technological writing skills.
2. Professional situation
2.1 Teachers
This major is subordinate to the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering. There are currently 10 professional teachers, including 3 professors, 4 associate professors (including senior engineers), and 3 lecturers. Among the professional teachers, there are 6 with doctor’s degree and 3 with master's degrees, and 90% of them with master's degree or above. The professional title structure, age structure and educational background structure of the teaching staff are reasonable, with high professional theoretical level and strong practical ability. Among the teaching staff, there are 1 high-level talent from Jiangsu Province's Six Peak, 1 Jiangsu Province 333 High-level Talents Training Project training candidate, 1 Jiangsu Province Qinglan Project outstanding backbone teacher, 1 young and middle-aged professional and technical top talent in Changzhou, 1 academic leader of the school. The proportion of full-time teachers visiting abroad exceeds 50%.
2.2 Experimental conditions
The specialty has robot and intelligent control laboratory, motion control laboratory, electromechanical system simulation laboratory, PLC and single-chip microcomputer control laboratory. The main instruments and equipment include electromechanical transmission control comprehensive experimental system, mechatronics test bench, mechanical motion scheme innovation design test bench, industrial robot, embedded development platform, measurement and control technology virtual instrument experimental device, etc. Students can also get skills training and exercise of relevant types of work and positions in the engineering training center and the mechanical engineering practice teaching center. In addition, the major also shared the resources of the key construction laboratory of digital electrochemical processing in Jiangsu Province.
The major has established three types of practice bases: cooperation, close cooperation and integrated development with 12 companies including Jiangsu Lingjian Laser Technology Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Bowanda Co., Ltd., which has created good conditions for helping students expand their practical vision of engineering and realize the integration of production and learning.
2.3 Teaching and research achievements
In the past three years, the teachers of this major have presided over 6 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, won 4 teaching and scientific research achievement awards at the municipal level and above, authorized 12 invention patents, published 1 monograph, and published 17 academic papers in Chinese core journals. The funds received are 640,000 yuan.
