1. Professional Profile
Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering (Civil Aviation Maintenance) is a new major, which recruited students all over the country for the first time in 2017. There are currently 160 full-time students.
1.1 Professional training objectives
This major cultivates advanced application engineering and technical personnel with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, and esthetics, so that they can adapt to the urgent needs of aircraft maintenance talents for the great development of civil aviation and aviation manufacturing industry in China and face the front line of the aviation industry development, and master certain aircraft equipment maintenance technology, civil aviation General tools and special tools use technology, and have certain aircraft fault analysis and troubleshooting capabilities, and can be engaged in the monitoring, diagnosis, maintenance and management of civil aircraft in airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturing, maintenance enterprises and other related units.

Aerodynamics, Aircraft Corrosion and Protection, Aircraft Performance, Aircraft Engines, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Aircraft Structure and Maintenance, Aircraft Control, Modern Aviation Maintenance Engineering, Aircraft System Principles.
1.3 Major practice training
Metalworking practice, electrical and electronic practice, enterprise practice, aircraft component disassembly and testing practice, hydraulic and pneumatic transmission curriculum design, aero-engine curriculum design, modern aviation maintenance engineering curriculum design, aircraft system principle curriculum design.
1.4 Students' ability to graduate
The students of this major mainly study the basic theory and knowledge of aero-engine, aircraft structure and system, aeronautical material science, aircraft maintenance theory, etc., receive the basic skill training of aviation maintenance and repair, and have the ability of preventive inspection, maintenance, equipment control, and production organization and management of aircraft structure and system. Graduates should acquire the following knowledge and abilities:
1. Have good psychological quality, moral quality and good humanistic quality, strong dedication, sense of responsibility and good professional ethics.
2. Possess knowledge of mathematics and other related natural sciences, professional knowledge and application ability of mechanical engineering, and have a certain pioneering and innovative spirit.
3. Have the ability to analyze the quality and reliability of civil aircraft.
4. Have the ability of aircraft structure and system maintenance process management, process analysis and design, and have the ability of aircraft structure and system maintenance.
5. Have the basic ability to discover, analyze and solve problems in this professional field, have strong self-learning ability, and have the basic ability of scientific research, technology development, organization and management.

2. Professional situation
2.1 Teachers
This major is affiliated to the Department of Aeronautical Manufacturing Engineering. Currently, there are 8 professional teachers, including 2 professors, 2 associate professors (including senior engineers), and 4 lecturers. Among the professional teachers, there are 7 with doctoral degrees. The professional title structure, age structure and academic qualification structure of the teaching staff are reasonable with high professional theoretical level and strong practical ability. Among the teaching staff, there are an academic leader of the Qinglan Project in Jiangsu Province, one from Jiangsu Province’s 333 High-level Talents Training Project , one talent from Jiangsu Province’s “Six Peak” project, and 1 school-level scientific research team. The proportion of full-time teachers with overseas research experience exceeds 20%.
2.2 Experimental conditions
First, the discipline relies on the Aviation Industry Experimental Training Base of Southern Jiangsu National Independent Innovation Zone and Changzhou Aviation Industrial Park to connect with local characteristic industries, school-enterprise integration, and industry-university research interaction. It cooperates with Xinyu Aerospace Co., Ltd. and the Management Committee of Changzhou High-tech Zone to jointly build Xinyu Collaborative Innovation Park and Changzhou-CIT Xinyu College, and cooperates with Sierra Academy of Aeronautics of the United States to adopt Sino-US Dual Campus to jointly build the major of flight technology. Multi-resource coordination and industry-university research cooperation, has formed three distinctive disciplines, including aviation special manufacturing technology, civil aviation transportation coordination technology and flight simulation and equipment technology; Second, this discipline focuses on the combination of scientific research, talent training and social services, scientific research feeds back teaching, scientific research serves the society, and cultivates applied innovative talents, with fruitful results.
2.3 Teaching and research achievements
In the past three years, the teachers of this major have presided over 10 vertical and horizontal scientific research projects at the national, provincial, municipal levels, and won the second prize of Changzhou Science and Technology Progress Award and the third prize of Science and Technology Progress of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, and authorized 3 utility model patents, and published more than 40 high-level academic papers.
